Steedie can I just say....stop and think about it love.....take a break. As you know I deleted myself before Christmas, then found it so hard to keep up with the lovely mail I got it was easier to just come back....even though I had to pluddy pay again. This week I have heard behind the scenes of so many regular names ready to quit. I have been sickened this week with the sad happenings on the board by well liked and respected members, it made me sad. I had to stand back and take stock and withdraw a bit...please do the same love.....take a break.....otherwise we loose too many nice people in the flak from other peopkles wars...which honestly we just can't sort if they are not willing to. I'm with Glenys on this one - I have no idea what's gone on most of the time and sometimes wonder, have I said something I shouldn't have. I thought the point of this board was to come on when taking a break from Family history, chill out for a bit then go and do some more (or not, as the case may be! lol) Steedie, don't be a stranger. xxx Manda :-)

look at all these lovely messages and all my pms...its gonna take me months to reply lol! look, to be honest id rather be leaving out of my choice, and not getting booted off for telling someone to go and do one, sooner or later my mouth is gonna run (well fingers will) and ill tell someone what for! Your all so lovely you know that, but honest i think for me a better way to stay in touch with you all is to stay in touch via email. Dont get me wrong, when Aaron proposes ill be straight on here to announce it cos i promised i would, i dont want to take a break and i really dont want to come on here anymore, i just wanna stay in touch with all you lovely people without the bitching and nastiness. Too many people have really been brought down to rock bottom. Look at Lovely Lynda Pace, shes had people phoning her home! Our Strump wasnt even belived when she went to thailand to help all those kiddies, Lindy has left, Pauls gone....we can be friends without the nastiness in between. I promise i will reply to you all.. and this aint stopping me from coming to the meets i can get to! xxx

Please don't get driven away. In all walks of life there are those who get their kicks from trying to hurt others. They only hurt if you let them. If they get no response they will give up. You know who you are and what you are worth. No-one can take that away from you. So hang on in there, develop a thick skin and if you get unpleasant messages just delete.

What I find incredible is the fact that I'll sign in, and there's this fast-growing thread about what happened the previous evening/night, and I haven't a clue what happened! Apart from perhaps piecing together snippets from postings, but that's it. Something else that worries me is that, if I don't add a posting, will anybody think that I'm one of the culprits? It sounds paranoid I know, but the thought does go through my mind when this happens. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that. x

With all due respect you are just giving them control and encouraging them to carry on because they are getting results,so the number of people publicly declaring like this will continue,and will continue to feed the saddos. If people get on with doing what they like doing and ignore them ,they go away.

It's so sad. The thing is the majority of people seem to miss what's gone on, to the extent someone wants to leave.So you never know who the trouble makers/nasy commented people are. I would'nt know, so how are we supposed to ignore them? catherine

It occurs to me that the trouble making people are in the minority on here. Why then do we let them dictate to the mainly friendly nice people to the extent that the nice ones leave and the trouble makers stay. isn't there something wrong with that? maybe we should all get a bit thick skinned, ignore the trouble makers, refuse to rise to them, don't even mention the problems on here and then maybe they would GO AWAY!!! Good grief, Steph - not you too?! What in heaven's name is happening? I myself don't add to many threads these days, but pop in now and again (well alright then, nearly every day) but frankly, the bickering hacks me off. I thought it was my imagination that things were getting worse, but other people seem to think the same. What an awful shame, since as you say, most people on here are great. Keep in touch, eh. It won't be the same without 'Princess Steedie'! x
