My sister has two (tiny) grandchildren born 3 months premature who are now rolling towards their first birthdays early May. So your grandchild has a good chance of survival, even now. Re your son's partner, once the pregnancy is out of the way (so to speak) the medics should be able to tackle her other problems... I do hope that, in 12 months' time, you'll all look back on this worrying time with relief. Lily

I had placenta previa with my 2nd. Mind you it was a long time ago. We only had a scan if something was wrong. It did'nt show untill I was 30 wks. Never had back ache etc though. Hopefully it will turn out to be an infection. Thinking of you all. Hilary. xx

Jenny, thoughts and prayers with your son and girlfriend. Had other problems with mine and delivered at 26 weeks although a small baby she did wonderfully, (she's 27 now). But sis had severe back pain and they checked her kidneys, turned out it was a stone but things went well, they just left it and hoped it would come on it's own. Hope things work well as I'm sure they will Regards Deb
