I have suddenly got loads of those little violas in my pots and tubs, have had ordinary violets before but don't know where these came from with their little faces.

Yes Harry, they look like little viola's, also noticed them on the grassy side banks of the M11, they do look nice! :))

Trish, I'd think that dandelion wine of yours would probably rival a Verve Cliquot now, send some my way and I'll give you a connoisseurs' opinion, lol Just how do you explain to little Charlie's Mum that the reason he's looking rather green is because he's been on a bit of a bender, but don't worry, he's had a good tea and his stomach's settled now!!!!! Cherry, we made the mistake of trying to drink it after a year - gosh it was awful. We put it back under the cupboard and 'found' it a few years later - another taste and it was wonderful. We still have 2 bottles left from mid 1980's - wonder what it tastes like now? In my mind I can see your kids tasting all the wines on the shelf - something like a script from the All Creatures Great and Small programme. LOL

Lor oh Lor Trish don't I remember! Donkey's years ago one of our boys decided to secrete a couple of his friends down in the cellar to conduct a wine tasting ceremony all of their own! They started on the dandelion wine! Caught the little monkeys before they'd got to the broad bean wine or the sloe gin! Fortunately three glasses of salt water and the kitchen sink sorted them out before any harm was done! Thinking of it 30 years later I'd be had up for child abuse for forgetting to put the padlock on the cellar door! Cherryx

I can remember collecting dandelions as a child. A neighbour used to make wine with them. I agree, they are bright and cheerful, even if gardeners don't like them. Gwyn

Harry yes loads of dandlions out there but all flowers where wild once just some person decided to make money out of them nature provide us with so much beauty xxHowie

Dandelions.... I have loads and must admit if they appear in the border I leave them there!! Weeds are only the flowers that nobody wants!! xx
