How does Theo Walcott get a call up when Arsenal haven't even played him since his signing? |

Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing and Bayern Munich's Owen Hargreaves are other surprise inclusions in Sven-Goran Eriksson's 23-man squad. Injured pair Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen are also included. |

It's not JUST about scoring goals. He tackles, he plays intelligent football and when he does get tackled he doesn't roll around on the floor crying! xx |

Ken, this is only my opinion but I feel too much is put on a few players it takes a team to win not just a few who think they are better than everyone else. And what happened to the pride of playing for yur country if you see what they get nowdays is a disgrace. Will get off my soapbox now lol |

Bec Maybe he could but so could so many others. Probably will take him but hope he doesn't try and play just for the sake of it will do more harm than good not just to England but to his long term career as well. |

What sort of statement is it to all the other players in or out of the squad if the manager believes his only chance of winning is a young lad with a broken foot? |

Oh blimey. More serious than I thought then. I think he has to have him on there then, though I remain doubtful of his match fitness even if his foot heals up in time xx |

Dawn - For the simple fact that even if he only plays 10 minutes... in those 10 minutes he can change the ethos of the team and the result of the game. In my opinion. Muffy - I am fairly sure this is it (depending on injuries?). He names 23 to take to Germany and 3 back-up players. |
