I'm so sorry for your loss. As for your question I do believe in Heaven. I lost my dad 4 years ago and believe he is now at peace and pain free up in a place I like to call heaven. Julia

We are made of energy & energy cannot die, it changes but it doesn't die. My lovely man will be waiting for me when I pass on, he promised me we would celebrate our golden wedding anniversary & it doesn't matter that he has gone on first, we will celebrate it. In this world he would be 108 & I would be 90. Vivienne xx

Thanks for your kind messages peeps, didn't want to ask for sympathy as such as there are far needier people than me. I feel so sorry for his mum (my Aunt) who lost my uncle a couple of years ago, now this...........he was only in his early sixties, no age at all......just been looking at a photo of him as a little boy with my uncle, they were together then, and I want to believe they are together again now......... I believe that you meet up with those who have gone before and they take care of you. That is what keeps me strong - lost Mum last June and I believe that my Nan and Gramps and her two sisters were there waiting for her and that they are all together as they were many many years before. Joanne

Dear Joan, worked in nursing homes and hospitals for years, when people passed on and we went to lay them out,the only way I can describe it is to say the presence of that person was still in the room, we would go away, come back after about 20 mins and the presence had gone,there was never anything unpleasant, just the feeling that someone had moved on, I am not sure where or how, I just am convinced the place is okay..........................Barbara....................

I am not a very religious person either but for various reasons I do believe in life after death. Sorry to hear that you have had a loss but what helped me the most when I lost my parents was thinking about the good times. xxx

I'm sorry about yr loss Joan - I've had one this week too. I don't know whether what I believe in is Heaven or Spirit or whatever but I believe there's somewhere our souls or spirits go after this life. If I think about it logically I probably couldn't justify what I believe but I do think there's something and at least if I'm wrong I won't know anything about it:)

dont really believe in heaven but do believe what i got told when i was younger and thats the brightest star in my eyes is that person watching over you all the time. annie

Don't know if it's heaven Joan ............. but I truly believe that they are not on their own. Reunited with others who have gone before................

Sorry for your loss honeyxx I don't know if i would call it heaven..but i do believe our loved ones watch over us,and r always close by,especilly in times of hurt and painxx(i second what christine saidxx)

Yes. I can't offer any proof of it, Joan. But I do believe. Coping is something we all do differently. Sometimes you can feel as if you are just functioning on automatic so to speak - you carry on just because you do, doing things automatically. Coping is hard, carrying on with life is hard. I can't give words of advice, but I do offer comfort and very sincere sympathies. Joy

Its very difficult as you know I lost my brother a month ago. Things do test your faith but soon it will come back and if you are like me you will believe there is an heaven. I believe that the life we live now is hell and when we die we go to somewhere better. take care Joan Davex ps my brother was in pain before he died but when he passed on he had huge smile on his face.

Just lost a family member & I feel a bit down, would love to believe he is being looked after somewhere but I am feeling this is a real test of faith, not that I have much left these days...............how do you cope at times like this? Joan
