Hi David, If you had asked last week I could have asked my boss but they've just gone to their home in Greece for three weeks. If our head chef is in when I am tomorrow I could ask him. His predecessors were Gary Rhodes & Phil Vickery, I'm sure he would know the best places. Vivienne xx

Thanks BC - will look at Claridge's too after my tea:) We're trying to find somewhere to take sister-in-law & hubby when they come down for their wedding anniversary in July. Thought I'd better plan way in advance for a change;))

You may be lucky to get a booking at the Ivy, David, but usually you have to book way ahead....

Yes, they are both really nice, David, in different kind of ways. I prefer Claridges but am going back a couple of years! BC?

Actually Anna The Ivy ain't too pricey:) BC - have just looked at Le Caprice too. Sounds very good but I like the location of the Ivy.

Can anyone recommend any posh (ish) restaurants in Central London? Doesn't matter what area but don't want to pay a lot more than about 50-75 quid a head for the food.
