Drank my first Pimms at a bar near the Serpentine lake in London, I think it was one Easter when my then o.h. and I were making use of a friend's empty flat in Muswell Hill (late 60's) for the weekend. Thought I was so posh and grown up!! Can anyone remember how to make a strawberry milkshake? I worked in several bars but the best one for cocktails and experiments, was the airport bar at Norwich Airport, then a very small bar (and airport, I am talking about the 70's) I used to work some evenings after my office job, and had lots of regular rig workers coming in after their shift offshore. I used to make up several strawberry milkshakes in pint glasses and they would all chip in,and we would get several glasses out of one pint. Quite strong and those lads were ready for a drink I can tell you. Many a laugh there in those days! Liz

Sally, It's because you are putting 'cocktails' after a row of dots........ it reads it as ''dot co''.

No.....I went back to the originals, which have the word cocktails in and thought I'd post them again, to see what would happen, and again its omitted cocktails. Lets see what happens to this one........ cocktails, cocktails.

OK....cocktails at 50 paces Viv!.......this was mine. l part blue curacao 2 parts Vodka ice. Shake and add a twist of lemon or orange......the colour is gorgeous, and you can get legless on two....well I can anyway... Yours sounds good but I can't stand Tia Maria, or Creme de Cacoa - that that's out for me.......try another......

If you substitute 1 measure Vodka for 1 measure Gin and top up with lemonade you get a Blue Lagoon.

I wa a Pimms virgin until last month!! Can't explain the taste - best just to buy a bottle & try! Sally have you been trying out all those cocktails that is why you have lost it? :-)

Mmmm Pimms my favourite summer drink.Has to have a sprig of Lemon Verbena in it for that quintessential touch,don't you know LOL ....... .............coming all over pursh!! Mau x;0)
