I’ve just realised that someone has sneaked quietly in the GR side door, whereas I think she deserves a BIG, warm GR welcome! Anne Watson (Anne in North London) is a very special friend of mine. We first met nearly 18 years ago on the maternity ward; she kept me sane for 10 days while my baby was miles away in another hospital and then shared our joy when he was well enough to return. Even though we have a few miles between us now, our families keep in regular contact and try to meet up on holiday if we can. She has a lovely family, her husband, Alan, and two boys, Simon and Nick, and the whole family are great rugby fans (go Saracens!). I was so pleased last year when I discovered that we had this hobby in common. Anne is already busy organising the Enfield ‘mini meet’ and I know that those who are lucky enough to be going will have a fantastic time because she’s warm, friendly and full of fun. Thank you for making her welcome, Love Mandy :) x
