If I give you some of my weight, will you lose it for me?

I'm like you Diana - I cannot eat in the morning and most days I don't eat until 5-6 p.m. Saying that, when I am peckish I will nibble on fruit or cheese. Breakfast does not give me energy and if I eat a proper meal midday then I just want to sleep. As for drinking water - that's another no-no. As I work for a medical practice they are always saying drink more water but I just can't -unless it's got coffee in it! I won't go to a gym but I walk the dog every day for around two hours and am constantly chasing after my son so that's my exercise regime! I hate being 'busty' but my husband would divorce me if I had a reduction. Then again ......:-) Lx ps meant to say that instead of eating cakes/biccies/bread I have a piece of very dark chocolate.

Hi Babe, I am also needing to lose a bit (put on a stone since I met Dean 2 years ago) - mainly due to a shared love of beer and cheeseburgers lol. But also because I passed my driving test and got lazy. I have started going into work later but I still get up at the same time every morning and now do a 20 minute exercise dvd. My favourite is Rosemary Conley Shape up and Salsacise but I have a few that have 20 minute sections. I've been doing it for 2 and a half weeks and my lumps are already smoothing out! Exercising on a morning also seems to give me more energy throughout the day. I have also started eating Oat Granola with plain bio yogurt for brekkie. It's quite satisfying so I tend not to snack at work. I have also stopped taking a sandwich to work as I always ate it before 10.30 then went out and bought another at lunch time! So now I just buy one which also involves a walk into town (more exercise). Good luck honey Love Jack xx

Diana, If you cut out the 2 litres of coke out,you will shed the weight, replace it with water, it will be hard at first but believe me you will feel so much better and have so much energy, sugery drinks are the worst offenders, by far,you will see a huge difference.Honestly!! Good luck Rox x

NB the new Coke Zero is nicer than Diet coke !!

Paul Report 29 Jun 2006 16:08

what if you don't like tea or water ? yes, its not good for you, but neither is a lot of other stuff that we eat/drink/smoke - we have to have SOEM pleasures in life !! When I switched from normal coke to diet coke I lost half a stone in about 3 weeks. Big result. Its the lesser of two evils.

To highlight the difference between men and womens viewpoints. Diana thinks that she carries to mush weight on her chest personally, I totally disagree lol

Sorry Diana - agree with Chunky Paul, if it was easy and pain-free we'd all be stick insects, lol! If you can't face breakfast, try something more substantial mid-morning, yoghurt, fruit, a few nuts or cereal bar. Or have a 'filling' lunch - tuna sandwiches (no mayo!) or a jacket potato with baked beans. A brisk walk in the lunch hour is good exercise to start with. I used to work for a man who ate NO breakfast and NO lunch (well rarely he had lunch) and stuffed himself in the evening - he was always ill, bloated, had tummy probs and his breath smelt!

Takes abit of getting used to but I could never go back to normal stuff....to syruppy for me now :-))) But I like your idea of a diet that is pain free and has little excersise....let me know coz I want that sort too!!! Dear Pink, I have seen your picture on the photos page and I WISH WISH WISH I was your size and needed to loose weight. My husband died 2 1/2 years ago after a long illness, most people I know that have lost their husbands loose weight, but no not me I have pilled the stones not pounds on. I'm twice the woman I used to be, I think the only thing to do is cut myself in half.

Diana, The answer, as you probably realise, is to STOP eating high fat snacks and calorific drinks, and eat proper, simple, regular meals, prepared from fresh ingredients, You needn't go hungry at all. Dee x

First of all please may I have the stone you lose from your chest? Secondly, you are going to have to educate yourself to eat breakfast. Bring that 2 hours forward by a few minutes each morning and then EAT! Thank you Zoe for confirming that the body starts burning energy once you eat. My hubby thinks I'm lying - he actually believes his trousers have shrunk round the waist! Finally, I've got some easy thigh, bum and abs exercises which you can do at home and believe me, press ups are much easier and more pleasurable if you imagine someone gorgeous underneath you! Daisy

I honestly think you're going to just have to go cold turkey with the Coke. lol There's a lot of sugar in coke and cutting it out will make a big difference - it's not good for your health either. It's not easy - I've still got more to loose (not telling how much more, but a bit more than you) but if you put your mind to it and do it sensibly then you'll get there. Loosing just a pound or two a week is the best way to do it, that way you're more likely to keep it off than if you do a fad diet. Good luck. Kaye x

Slimming World is an excellent regime - especially if you do not need to lose much weight. When you join you are given a REALISTIC target weight and once you get to that target you do not have to pay to attend the weekly weigh ins. It promotes a well balanced wholesome diet which can be tailored to your individual likes/ dislikes. By the way I believe that 'full fat' coke is one calorie per ml so that it 2000 calories per day !

I lost 5lbs last week.... Odd considering I was eating normally and drinking TOO MUCH! Must be the stress of the WC.... I'm now being sensible which involves drinking loads of water (and peeing a lot), eating dried fruit for breakfast and cutting out rubbish. Let me know when you're going for the reduction.... I'll join you. Reckon I'm carrying AT LEAST a stone on my chest... becx
