Yes we must remember the poor souls who died or were maimed in the 7July bombings. Whenever I think of that day,I thank God my Son was safe. When the news broke I phoned him on his mobile and he was walking down the street from Liverpool Street Station to work.He had taken the earlier train that day instead of the underground. At the time he wasn't even aware what had happened, thought it was just a bomb scare! I still go cold just thinking about it. My loving thoughts go to the families of those who suffered, and give thanks to the rescuers who gave their all. Mau XXX

Well a year ago on 7/7 I got up with the intentions of a big celebration... Our Wedding Anniversary...It was cruelly shattered with all the news of what had happened in London..watching these boards... as people who had been in London had narrowly escaped.. and the messages that were posted of the horrific explosions that took many lives...Needless to say the celebrations were short lived and cancelled... I would like to send all those people my love and support... not just to the people who died... but to all those who were caught up in the aftermath of that day...the Police ... the Ambulances...the Fire Brigade...and the bravery of the people who helped the Sick and Dying... Everyone... A day to remember.. A day I would rather forget... Mo

I remember the day well. I have a colleague who lives in Shephereds Bush and she travelled to North London on public transport. She was actually told to go home early and because I knew the area she lived I offered to take her home. I remember people say no - you will get stuck in traffic going and returning. I offered other poeple a lift too, some i had to turn down. Those i offered to changed their minds and in the end I went home alone. I felt so guilt. All I wanted to do was help. I live near a train station that goes down to Liverpool Street. I knew people who travelled on that line. Within days I discovered someone who lived in my road was killed in the attacks. My thoughts are with all who died, were injured, their families and friends and all others that were affected in some way on this awful day. Fi

It was on these boards that I first heard that something was wrong, but we didn't know then how tragic the day would be. I remember the intense worry as we tried to make contact with people in the city that day.- I have family working near Tavistock Square and a nephew in the British Medical building. For us there was relief and joy at their safety- but sadness too that so many lives were lost. Thinking of all those who still have physical and emotional scars that will not yet heal. Gwyn

My 15 r old grandaughter is studying drama and a few eeeks ago her group wrote and performed a short play, They were given certain words that they had to fit into the script but the remainder was to be their own work. They chose to do abt the London bombings and used some of the actual words of some of the survivors The result was a very thoughtful ,moving, poignant work, that paid tribute to the ones whe had suffered in this horrific bombing Bren

We must never forget victims of atrocities - my friend was there when the bus exploded. He remembers it everyday and is grateful for every morning when he wakes - a whole new outlook on life!! But please lets also remember other victims that time seems to have forgotten, for example those at Lockerbie, and the terrorist bombing campaigns in London.

Remembering all those involved and their families. My daughter was at one of the stations that suffered just the day before and my youngest son, drove down that same street where the bus exploded, only 20 mins before it happened. Jen

The years fly by so fast, and this last one has gone quickly for me, but probably not for those who are still trying to come to terms with the loss of loved ones, or the injuries they are battling to recover from. I saw the young man locally to me, who lost his fiancee in the bus blast - they should have been married last September and had their whole world together before them. Now he has moved from the flat they shared because he could not afford to keep it on, and he is continuing with his life, but he wears a haunted look on his face, and I feel so sad for him. There are so many in the same position as him. Thinking of everyone who was involved, in whatever way. Liz

I was thinking about those affected. I think most people in the country were affected in one way or another. Two of my friends were in London at the time, and on the underground. The worry was immense. I felt sick.
