Your opinion on boarding school....

It was not something we wanted for our children but we did consider it for the older 2 at one point when my husband's job meant there was a possibility of moving to a country with no suitable nearby school.... Luckily the move never happened. I can see why some people opt for boarding school if it means many moves for a child. My husband came from a Service family and went to 16 schools. I would have hated that..... but I wouldn't have wanted to leave home early either. I don't like the idea of primary age children being packed off at the beginning of term, but maybe a stable secondary education is better for some. Each child and their needs within the family are different. My husband's sister went to boarding school, but her brothers travelled with their parents. Gwyn |

Out of the five people I know well who went to Boarding School, all are emotionally damaged in some way. All are men. But who knows, maybe they would have been emotionally damaged people anyway. OC |

Would say its an individual choice and if the childs happy then its ok, i think its the same as most things there's good and bad one's Lil |
