How do i tell you that? Btw, my slave drive isnt acitivated, just sitting there...if that makes sense lol. I warn you, i am hopeless with this techy stuff.

Christine - that doesn't sound like a rogue cookie, that's not how they usually work but can see where you are coming from. The mtf part of E:$mtf probably refers to master file table (a sort of directory of what is on the hard disk) and the E: probably refers to your slave drive. I could do with knowing what file system you have it is probably ntfs but don't worry if that sounds like double dutch - I can talk you through step by step to find out

Yes, my hard drives are 2 months old, this started 2 weeks ago.

Oh gawd Errol, i dont know.god how thick am i.........i have a hard drive and a slave drive. Both are new and its in me housing (cant believe how thick im sounding here)

It says: Windows-Delayed Write Failed. Windows was unable to save all the data for the file E:/$mft. It has been lost. This maybe caused by a failure on your computer hardware or by a network connection. Please try and save the file else where. Whats it all about??
