Difficult to describe my job really! I commission government solicitors to write/revise laws (the difficult bit is getting them to understand the laws need to work in the real world). I write content for websites, leaflets, manuals and the like and commission/approve designs (the bit I enjoy). I troubleshoot problems from members of the public (very big job in itself that one but I love making a difference to just one person) I manage a couple of very large public sector contracts and smack hands/step in when people aren't pulling their weight (hmm). I spend a lot of time trying to make politicians understand the issues of the real world (impossible, may as well forget it). I also spend a lot of time trying to get different bits of government to talk to each other to make life easier for ordinary people (very difficult but not as impossible as the above). No wonder everyone thinks civil servants sit around drinking tea all day. Angela |

Not forgetting the important one of being a wife and mum. Lol. Love and Peace Marianne.x |

I 'WAS' an electronics engineer, in the early part of my career working on nasty stuff, missile and gun control systems, then mini computers and test equipment. Now I play with old motorbikes, paint watercolours and fish - much more enjoyable! |

I work for an IT services company. I'm a team leader for a support team, looking after a number of clients systems. They're not Wndows based computers though, so I'm generally fairly useless when you lot have PC problems lol |
