Poor you. You sound in agony. What is the cause - a slipped disc? Hope you manage to get a bit of relief soon. Margaret |

I can tell you from experience Keith thatthe spasms are a result of the muscle being tight........stretch the muscles and apply heat with a wheat sack...........lie on a rug, arms at your side ,head looking at the ceiling, legs(lower part propped up on a chair so that your thigh is almost vertical.......stay in that position for at least 5-10 minutes, just relax.........then apply heat.......variants on this are lying flat and bending the legs towards you but the first method puts no stress on the base of your spine. Thats advice from a landscaper .....me.....after having years of it,no painkillers.they dont work and just kid your body.........STRETCHING and HEAT.........a strong walk for half a hour mixed in with this will do you no harm. |

They are right Keith, rest and move, rest and move. It helps to free the muscles from their spasm. |

Ooo Theresa yes I know ! I had one done yesterday needless to say it brought tears to my eyes lol !!! Hassell if it is soft tissue/ligament etc rather than bone you could try arnica gel. You don't need to rub it in & you can use it as often as you like. If you have tried ibuprofen gels etc in the past well it's like them except no restrictions on use & it does work better I think. :0) Joan |
