I too have a long haired german shepherd. He is a great dog and very protective of my children and myself. Recommend them as a family dog any day. |

Well after reading through all this, the German sheepdogs, border collies and golden retrievers are very popular. I must admit I also like German sheepdogs, but I also my favourites are cocker spaniels and labradors. Margaret |

Springer spaniel is top of my list too. Bobbin is manic- cant go off the lead - too bird mad - and has leapt straight ober 6' fence panel in hot persuit. Totally loyal though, deffo 'our' dog. Jess |

My favourite is a longhaired dachshund - I last owned one many years ago but he was special - the other which really had a special place was a big black Newfoundland. |
