Serious reply (gawd, I'm sad - I've given this a lot of thought lol) I reckon, in my infinite wisom and after years of careful study that playful flirting (in person rather than on line) is all smiles, jokey or perhaps a bit smutty comments and eye contact whereas 'interest' flirting has moments when the eye contact is still there and the words may be similar but the laughy jokey element is suspended briefly (The 'gazing into each other's eyes' syndrome) or alternatively the eye contact and the smile are still there but the flip, flirty comments pause for a while. It may only be a second or two, to gauge the feelings of the other person before carrying on according to the reaction - so you'll have to be quick! Go on - laugh - but I betcher I'm right!
