Hello Sarah, I must admit that I have posted threads that have just died without a response, my theory is if no one responds within about an hour then I just delete it. Might not be topic of interest for others or it's just one of those days. Like sometimes I come on the boards with the thought of posting a thread and read what's happening and think 'Oh maybe not today', like if the sense of the boards that day is mostly of serious nature and what I was going to post is nonsensical then it's better left for another day. If you get what I mean. Debs

I've been a member since 2003 but my threads are often ignored. On the other hand, there are far too many threads and it is only possible to answer a few each day and they have to be the more interesting ones. Len

Sarah I have started many a thread which never got a single reply! And I have posted to threads which are days old and have slipped right down the board - because I just didnt see them at the time/wasnt on the computer/didn't have anything useful to add. Just keep adding - eventually someone will respond to you! OC

The more you post the more you will get responses! I post all the time on Tips and if I say something funny or whatever on there, will always get responses because I'm known to others on that board, I suppose. If I do the same on here it's much less likely I'll get a response, but I guess that's because not everyone knows I'm famous!!! (lol!) Having said that, I now know everyone on Gen is afraid of the dentist.....................................................(don't ask!) Merry

hello people i just want to say am a very nice person who wants to talk to everyone, i have put this thread on not to course trouble, am not that sort of person, all i want is friends dont care if i cant see you just want friends. i come on here because i am always on my own i think its just good to chat, thanks everyone for talking to me. sarah xxxx

We ALL think like that when we first come on here... you and your friend are NO DIFFERENT to anyone else. You/your friend will get more confident, the longer your here and the more names you start to recognise ... .... honestly, we ALL go through it ! Elaine :-)))

Hi Sarah I've had this happen but don't let it put you off! I recently posted the same thread on General and Tips (was relevant to both) and had no replies on General but loads on Tips........ I often feel I can't add anything meaningful to a thread and leave it (hopefully) to others. Seems that youv'e cracked it with this one though! Allie x

Took me ages to break through, but....keep at it...always try to respond to as many people who post on your thread as possible...and if one thread sinks try another. good luck XXX

I answer/add to threads which interest me. Not everybody has the same interests, and therefore will not answer every thread. I most certainly don't. If I did I'd never do anything else :-) I dare say my OH would think that anyway - lol Keep posting, and don't worry if you don't get many responses. I don't. I've added to threads that haven't been answered, too, maybe it's a case of 'no comment' or others posting threads almost simultaneously so it gets lost, or maybe not many folk read all through other answers, or if it applies to a specific person, maybe they don't go back to that thread once they have added something to it. who knows?

am not letting it put me of posting but i was chatting to someone on msn last night who is a member on the boards but dosent like to post because she just adds, dosent like to post in case no one answers. sarah xxxxxxx
