My maternal grandad was Harry GUSTAVUS Tivers, and his father was Charles RAFFLES Tivers. Gustavus and also Gideon seem to have come down the male line, but I have no idea where Raffles came from. My Gran used to tease us, saying she won him in a raffle! LOL My paternal great grandfather was George WASHINGTON Kilpatrick, and it's amazing how many Americans & Canadians with the surname Kilpatrick named their sons George Washington! But I can only claim one of them! Sue xx

Yes Jackie B, I got the birth certificates to prove it. The family was so sure it was a double barrel name. Just trying to be posh, so I squashed that idea for them all.
