I wonder how many 'Brits' live abroad ? I recently heard on the telly that there are more English living in France than French living in England. I wonder if the French mind? Len

Jill in France Report 2 Sep 2006 19:00

Len, I think it is now about the same number of French living in the UK as they find there is a better chance of progressing with their jobs than over here. We abide by French laws and living in Maine et Loire have found everyone to be helpful and friendly . We have heard though, that further south, villages die when the Brits buy up houses then leave them over the winter months. It pushes the house prices up and the locals can not afford to buy in their own villages. Jill xx :)
