I posted that thread because a thread, which has now been deleted was for me the final straw. It was a thread that shouldn't, in my opinion, have even made it to the general board. It should have stayed over on tips. I haven't said much on past contentious threads because I tend to get angry at what I see as injustice and I knew in the past that I would probably say something I'd regret. Last night, however, I'd finally had enough. Having seen, previously, people posting threads saying they had had enough and seeing those threads also become contentious I knew it would probably end up the same way if I did, so I posted a thread (originally on the offending (to me) thread) that enabled me to say what I felt in a way that would prevent any arguements. People who know me know that I don't often swear, certainly not as part of my everyday language, although I don't claim to be a saint either, so they'll hve some idea of how I was feeling. Btw I have reported myself to abuse so it's nobody's fault but my own.

Julie, I haven't seen your thread but saw last night's. I completely understand your frustration. I took the alternative route and turned off my computer once the trolls came out to play as I knew what would follow and I can't always bite my tongue. Couldn't agree with your sentiment more. I should have stayed on tips, and in fact not becaome an issue at all. It just turned into the usual GR Mud slinging contest. The fire was fuelled with people that start with the clasic reply ''i didnt see the actual thread but....'' Why contribute? why even say that? I bet it didn't P*ss you off half as much as it did me! As to why I posted it I finally had to say something and wanted to say it in a way that wouldn't provoke arguements amongst other people. btw I hope that first sentence comes across in the way it's meant, not meaning to imply that anything is your fault.

I understand completely Julie. I was so mad I actually went off & did some research, then sat down to watch TV. I believe the thread was a deliberate attempt by the usual suspects to cause trouble on the board. I do hope your thread is seen, as it should be, a dictionary definition. Thanks for the explanation - I thought you and Lemon had both flipped! I was right, then! If you are 'on holiday' then have a good time - wish I could get to your meet but there's nae chance. It would be good if the GR 'jury' could see both sides of an argument - but why should this be any different, they never have before!
