at work. I moved to a live in job in a hotel and he was a chef when I asked him back to my room for a coffee after work he said no as he thought I was a hussy. Soon changed his mind and after 3 weeks kept wishing he would ask me to marry him. Been together for almost 21 years and married just over 19 and have 3 little snowflakes together. And people gave us 6 months

They say holiday romances don't last. Well we met on holiday, he proposed in the middle of an argument on the New Brighton ferry, I accepted and we've now celebrated our golden wedding. How's that for a holiday romance?

At his parents' house - he was my friend's baby brother. He was at Uni and having a year out - used to come round to mine to tell me about his girlfriend problems and to escort me to the station, when I went to see my boyfriend. We had mutual interests in Rod Stewart, vodka and Bogart films. At the end of the year he went back to uni but gave me 'Come up and see me, make me smile' ..... I did both!! That was 30 years ago and we still make each other smile, but have swapped the vodka for red wine. Red wine gets better with age and so, I hope, do we. Jay

We met on a Business & Management course, I knew when I first saw him, that we would be togeather, I felt like I had met/known him before. We have been togeather for just over four years now, and are very happy togeather, we are engaged and are getting married in July 07. We also have a beautiful baby girl (ten mths and 3 wks now) we had decided to try for a baby before we got married, and after a year and half of trying (which was fun!) we had our Isabella. I can't wait till next year.

Came to England from Scotland to stay with a girl I met when we were Redcoats and lifeguards at Butlins in Ayr. Was just bidding time until I got my call up date for the RAF. Air Load Master I was going to be. Part air hostess to the families and checking all the equipment that was going overseas with our fighting units. Met hubby in a pub and that wonderful future went by the way side. Can't complain. Been together for 30yrs through thick and thin. Have two wonderful daughters and grandchildren we adore. Wouldn't change anything but...... I wonder sometimes how different my life would have been if I had followed my dream. Life is strange aint it! Aileen xxx

Went out with a friend from work to a scooter club, which was a bit of a downer for me, because my boyfriend and I had just broken up and he was a biker.....so scooters were sissy to me......anyway.....I met this friend of hers and thought he was quite nice, but also thought that he had a girlfriend..... Next day she put me right and said he wanted to take me out.....I wasn't really interested in another relationship yet, but thought....why not.......4l years later, three children, three grandchildren.....and really happy......

In the pub! I went in for a meeting in the function room and he was there to photograph it. He was standing on the table when I walked in and I thought 'He's nice, but a bit short!' Three years later we held our wedding reception in the same room. Funny how things work out. Sheila
