One that I read and found helpful is called 'you forever' by Tuesday Lopsand Rampa. It's not only about astral travelling - it was a really life changing book for me xx

Wow... i have had a few dreams over the years where i have met up with family members who had passed over. To be honest i have been pretty scared by the whole thing. After reading what you've all had to say, i actually think it's pretty cool and am interested to learn more about it. Does anybody know of any good books or websites?

Yes I can do it. I read a book by Tuesday Lopsang Rampa a number of years ago and using the relaxation techniques I have managed it a few times. xx

Ive been astral travelling as long as i can remember although when i was a child it really frightened me as the feeling - i can only describe as my soul leaving my body .I didn't dare open my eyes as i thought i would die if i moved when my soul wasn't in my body . My dad ( who was clairvoyant and clairaudient) eventually convinced me into actually opening my eyes , when i did , i didnt see my soul as i expected, i saw me - lying on my bed and immediately i was back in my body . Since then i have developed this into an art and like one thread on here says , i have been to some wonderful places. Has anybody had the 'dream' they are flying - this is astral travelling. Everybody's experience may differ slightly , i do not need to concentrate , i just need to relax .

My freinds litte boy could not fight infections so was in and out of hospital when he was four he was very ill for about a month she would bring him to work with her when he was off school she was a cleaner and he would come and talk to me i worked in the diner one day i gave him some pastry to play with he was talking away and said when i was ill god came to see me and said he had come to tell me he would be comeing for me soon and not to worry i would be happy and he wold look after me for my mum he past away two monthes latter just before his fith birthday. he was always a happy little soul Valxxx

carol,what you said in your thread is very common,its well known ,that at the point of dying someone will come and get you,a husband,sister ,mother or father,someone you have known during your life will always come and fetch you,seen it hundreads of times,(ask any nurse, and they will tell you that at the point of death you are never alone).xxx

hi caz, its said that if you have a vivid dream,where you come into a contact with a dead relation, you have had a astral progection ,you have spoken to your dead relation,if you have done this,good on you ,its a very hard thing to do,keep dreaming.xxxxx

Hi Suzz this fascinates me, was going to bed but had to add, When my grandma was dying at 95 3 years ago, my dad and family were around her, she suddenly said, ' mother i'm not ready, you are all around me should I come? ' Dont know if this is the same but it made me think, My dreams or should I say nightmares are very vivid and I am scared by them, Caz xxxxxxx

If current research into consciousness is valid, it seems logical. Ihave had 'lucid dreams' in which I could control the course of the dream. Once upon a time, TV, mobiles, silicon chips seemed just as far fetched Len

rose,what your saying is true,ive seen this loads of times,please dont think your losing it,ive sat with hundreds of people who are towards the end,and ive seen thing that you wouldnt believe ,i cant talk about them here as i would be sectioned,but believe me(as a nurse)ive seen things that a normal person would not perceive .xxxx

santa,your hubby needs to protect him self ,before he travels,if he doesnt he will come across every horror that hes ever emagined , he must protect himeself first

I have tried it but i was to scared so i didnt even try to do it again hubby saw something nasty and he never done it again he wont tell what though so it must have been bad Rosex

Hi Suz, It's not something you can really practice. You either have it, or you don't. Meditation will help, but you must concentrate, and then eventually it will come naturally.

yes rose, your right again, it can be very dodgy to do if you dont know what your doing,i tried it once but it didnt work,you really need to concentrate, i cant do that very well being a scouser, no joking apart,its a very serious thing to get into,i just wanted comments to see how many people had heard or experienced this ,im a nurse ,currently doing a paper on astral travel (very common in dying patients) ive seen this a lot,and just wanted to see what the general public thought, please keep your comments flowing ..xxxxxxx
