Its the hardest thing in the world to do, but obviously needed doing. if the cold light of day, and in a sober moment, maybe this woman will realise that her child must come first

You did the right thing Diana!! a childs life is so important!! and just because you hav'nt children yourself does'nt mean you don't know what is happening, she will use remarks like that to get at you!! ignore that!!! just inform the police of the situation so they are aware of what is going on and perhaps the will keep an eye on things!! Have to go to bed now, hope you are ok Diana, and that this gets resolved so the little girl is ok. Hope her brother is checked out too. I was always careful when my son was small, as a single mother I didn't want him to see a succession of 'uncles' and knowing my track record with relationships - I was never that good at picking the right ones - so could have had more than one chap while he was small. Decided not to bother, he had plenty of friends and adtult males who were married to my friends so didn't really lack much, and at that time his daddy was in contact too. Till his jealous new wife decided we might be a threat to her, silly mare, and stopped the contact. She has a lot to answer for and won't she look stupid when my son and his half bro meet, there are 10 years and 4 days between them, and now the lad is old enough to understand that his parents when they said we were family friends, were not being truthful. Like to see her explain her way out of that one! night all. Liz

Good on you Diana,she is just a baby and you have responded to her needs. Too many people turn a blind eye As for the mother well just turn your phone off,and ignore her,if she makes a real nuisance of herself call the police I have this happen quite often in my job,because we are a small rural hospital woman who have had there babies taken in to care will often try and appear up here and have there new ones under the radar. They are none too pleased when I check up and report there births but I dont care because its the little ones that count. Regards Tania

Diana, no doubt you have done the right thing, have you phoned the police so this gets dealt with tonight, I fear for that child. My son works as a pizza delivery lad to supplement his income and there is a new lad started who my son says is a little slow, he has apparently been in and out of care, he is 17. He seems to have taken a liking to my son, and told him yesterday his mother is a prostitute and keeps trying to sleep with him, her own son. My lad has no idea how to help him and said in a way, he wishes he hadn't been told anything. What some children have to go through is dreadful, thank heavens there are people brave enough to speak up. Keep us posted Diana and take care. Liz
