Hi Tina, you will be made very welcome! We have all read books out of our 'comfort zone' with GReaders, some of which we have loved to pieces, some of which we have abandoned halfway in! Any contribution is valued - no 'review' has to be scholarly or perfectly spelt, we just write what we thought of the book and then it's interesting to see how our views compare. For instance, Ann and I tend to disagree on books (Cloud Atlas springs to mind lol) but Dee and I have similar tastes. Ann will be putting up the new threads over the next couple of days, so hopefully we will see you there :-)) Maz. XX |

Hi, i love reading .Have been doing it since i was 2, my mum taught me. I read most things , breakast boxes ,must read a daily paper, should i say 2 daily papers,3 on a sunday.9 magazines a week. I have a book in the (oops should i admit to this here ?) in the toilet.Four the last 6 months its been the highway code ,it was for my theory test, hey even better i passed ,first time ,lol. I tend to go for the easy reads, the ones like anne baker ,lyna page, josephine cox.True life stories, the Angla ashes books the books about Dave and the Tory hayden ones. I love local history and have a Jeeves Yard on the go at the moment ( all about a Hitchin family of builders) As you can see it has done nothing for my memory of names. And although i call myself a reader ,i don't think i have ever read a true classic. If you don't mind i'd like to join as well. Tina |

I think you probably don't have time if you are working Caz, but you could give it a go one month and just read one of the books. Ann Glos |

Jacqui, we always like input so you will be very welcome. There is a thread Greaders review of books read in last 2 months. you could add your reviews to that thread for us. I would be interested in your review of the Da Vinci Code as I have just read it (but not written a review on it). Ann glos |

You could join us and read just one of the selection on the bus, it doesn't matter if the review is done on time or later. Yes I have read PS I Love you, a real tear jerker that one. Ann Glos |

I love reading but don't get much time with two jobs and housework at the weekend. Plus my love of hill and mountain walking takes me away from the books on a Sunday. But I read on the bus to work and 10mins before bed. The one I could recommend for you lovely ladies is - P.S. I Love You, excellent couldn't put it down. Currently reading Jeffrey Archer's Prodigal Daughter hard to get into though. Tx |
