I have been to the Library today and there is not one library in Cardiff that has Lady from Hey by Barbara Erskine in their stock.. It looks like it's out of print. Love Maisie x

Jill in France and TOR have not said that they have seen this so I will nudge it up again. Maz, that is the trouble with having popular books chosen. Fancy us liking the same book, wow! I am hoping to be able to get into town tomorrow to see if I can pick up Emma in a charity shop. It is a Jane Austen I don't have, typical! Kaz, glad you have returned to us thank you for your PM. Daisy Emma had already won anyway by the time you voted as it was already 8 to 3 for Emma. but I am pleased that you have seen this now. Ann Glos

Ann - don't pass out with shock lol but when I read Lady of Hay about 15 years ago (I think!) I loved it too !! Would you believe I couldn't get the Joanne Harris book today - not on the shelf and the library computer system was down, so couldn't order it either. Not amused ! Maz. XX

OK folks there are 14 of us. Results so far Emma 8 Wives & daughters 3 3 to vote. By my reckoning Emma has to win as even if the 3 vote for W & D it still would not be 8 So Emma it is. Goodness what a marathon that was! Ann Glos

Kate Shaw Report 9 Feb 2007 16:52

Sorry - been at work today I vote for Emma - largely because I have a copy so know I'll be able to get hold of at least 1 of the books! Picked up The Bells of Burracombe at the library this afternoon so will be reading that as well Ann even though it didn't get many votes. I like Lilian Harry. Kate
