I have already read Lady of Hay, has to be one of my most favourite books (don't let that put you off Maz). I don't have either of the others. As we go away Tuesday for four weeks I can't rely on the library so I may not read any of the choices this month, unless I can get into town on Monday and find Gentlemen and Players or Emma in a charity shop. I will read the Lilian Harry one I suggested anyway as it didn't get enough votes to put up again, and probably Virgin Blue. Ann Glos |

The trouble with having such a long list of readers, there are 14 of us now, is that it takes so long to finish a vote/review thread etc. Could I ask all of you to please bear this in mind and to watch for the thread on the designated date. This time 16th March. I put it on my calendar so I don't forget. I am not complaining about the long list, it is lovely to have so many interested, but I spent nearly all day yesterday just monitoring the thread. Ann Glos |

Sorry if I've held people up, but I work nights and have just woken up. Will have to vote for Emma (As Wives and Daughters was my choice) Already have a copy of Gentlemen and Players in the ' waiting to be read' pile. (lucky!) Ann I think you would really enjoy 'Virgin Blue' I can recommend it, but didn't vote for it as I've already read it. Hvae a lovely time on your hols. Alfie. |

Sorry - been at work today I vote for Emma - largely because I have a copy so know I'll be able to get hold of at least 1 of the books! Picked up The Bells of Burracombe at the library this afternoon so will be reading that as well Ann even though it didn't get many votes. I like Lilian Harry. Kate |

OK folks there are 14 of us. Results so far Emma 8 Wives & daughters 3 3 to vote. By my reckoning Emma has to win as even if the 3 vote for W & D it still would not be 8 So Emma it is. Goodness what a marathon that was! Ann Glos |
