Well, I hope he does pay that amount back Claire, and that your brother sorts out the Post Office so you get the rest of the money due to your young people. They sure as heck owe you that, they stuffed up by letting him draw out the money every day without querying it. I am sure your lovely bobby will watch this lowlife like a hawk from now on, and probably most of the people who know about this will shun him too. Hi all Firstly thanks for all your help and support I have been overwhelmed !!!!!!!!!!!!! Now for the updated update.......... Police just left here , seems powers that be have vetoed investigation as victim is not alive and scummy thief will not fess up !!!!!!!!!! The local Bobby who fought for it is gutted and bless him he feels that he has let us all down. Have assured him this is not so and what he achieved was better than nothing. Scum has fessed up to borrowing £ 800 off mum and has offered to pay it back, told police he'd better I suppose 8% of the total is better than nothing. Now to deal with the Post Office Brother in London has said he will deal with this for me cos its got to the point now where I've had so much stuffing kicked out of me that I've got none left to give and GP is starting to worry threatening me with happy pills etc. But like I always say there's always somebody out there worse off and hopefully what has gone on here will make people more wary and not end up in this situation. It will be really interesting to see what happens after he's arrested!! What I find interesting is that if he was a 'carer' for your Mum how could he claim to be unemployed?? How did he get her details?? There's something incredibly fishy about the whole set-up (re- him) - maybe when the Police investigate further they'll find that this isn't the first time he's done something like this!! Hi Claire, What a terrible thing to have happened. When my gran died my Grandad had a full time live in carer. We saw him almost every day but she wheedled her way round him Nobody, not even the neighbours liked her, only him. When he died after 2 years of knowing her he left everything to her. She didn't even ask my Mum and Dad if they wanted any mementoes, photos etc. Despite saying she loved all Jacks family we never ever saw her again. A hard lesson to learn. Well that is good Claire, that the people are prepared to speak up. Surely he isn't shacked up in that sense, with his niece, is that legal? Poor girl is in for a let down, whatever the set up. Some strange folk around that can behave in this way towards family and friends.

Well, if that idiot has been flashing the cash like that, when everyone knew he wasn't working, he has shot himself in the foot! Maybe the police need to talk to the pub landlord about how much he was spending and in what denomination the notes were etc, compared to how the post office paid out, I am sure they would remember. Try to stop anyone close to you giving him a walloping or it might prejudice your case. Keep us posted, want to hear that lowlife has been hammered for this by the police, don't suppose he will have a lot left to repay tho if he has been having a spending spree. Has he any assets that could be sold?

Hi liz Landlord & locals are prepared to go to court they are that angry. At the mo he's shacked up with his niece she's a nice girl works hard etc probably thinks he's got a job on the side, you know what they say........Love is blind. At the mo I feel sorry for her I don't think she has a clue about him Claire xxxxxxx
