Nanna thats how I feel about my kids and mothers day, the best part for me is seeing them and getting the cards they made. I don't need any fancy gifts just a hug and kiss off them. Jackiexx

Well Jackie, I don't think she deserves a card either, let alone give out present lists, good grief!!! The whole point is surely for children to show appreciation of their Mothers not be ordered to!!! Some deserve it and others don't, sounds like she doesn't, send a card...that is more than enough to show you at least thought of her! (but don't write what you think of her in it!!)....I like Joys ideas.....pmsl! I was lucky both my Mum and Mum-I-L were fabulous so never had this.....I am gobsmacked! If my boys (daughter never misses) send me a card I am smiling all day, they never remember or are so forgetful, but I do get a phone call saying 'Hello Ma, sorry I forgot, I feel really bad.....' off the most forgetful one....it means so much just to hear his voice, who needs cards and prezzies, they tell me they care all the time so I never miss out. Can't get a better prezzy than my children themselves.... Nanna-Moo ;-)))

What a flippin' cheek!! My Mum nags us 3 NOT to buy her anything, says she's happy with just a card! I went to see her last weekend and gave her a scented candle which she loved, but still 'moaned' that I had bought anything, lol!

Jackie,i never had those problems with my mother or mum in law who were both lovely. But i agree with the others ,a card is enough to say you havn't forgotten. If she keeps making comments like that ,she shouldn't even get a card, what a bloody cheek.Fred.
