He hasn’t been well for a little while now, had a dreadful cough when we saw them at Christmas, but a chest x-ray was clear. He’s gone downhill rapidly since then and hubby did a mad dash up there a few weeks ago. They thought he’d put his back, or a rib, out with all the coughing but he’s been in so much pain that they’ve admitted him to hospital tonight. Hubby has just spoken to the ward sister and it seems that blood tests have shown he might have a clot on his lung or he might have severe pneumonia. They’re very concerned at all the weight he’s lost recently too. He’s down for more tests and scans tomorrow (including something called a VQ, whatever that is) and hubby has been advised to wait and speak to the Doctor after his rounds tomorrow morning before he makes the journey up there. If you’ve got any spare prayers or positive thoughts, please could you send a few our way for FIL, and for hubby who is obviously very worried. Mandy |
