Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts - they are working!! FIL is responding well to treatment for pneumonia and hubby said he started to look better in the 2 days he was up there. This week there will be lots of tests done because something other than the pneumonia is suspected, so if you can spare a thought it would be really appreciated. Thank you for all your kind messages. Hubby has just arrived at the hospital after a 5-hour drive and rang me quite upset. His Dad has lost weight since he last saw him a couple of weeks ago, that makes about 3 stone since Christmas and he's not a big man. They did an ultrasound instead of the VQ scan and are pretty sure there's no clots on the lung, so they are treating him just for the pneumonia until he has further tests, including an endoscopy, on Monday. Hubby is going to speak to the ward sister himself later on when it's a bit less busy, as his Mum doesn't like to ask questions, hopefully he might find out a bit more. Mandy xx |
