OK, place the mouse cursor at the beginning of the text you wish to copy anywhere on this page. Click and hold the left mouse button. Now, with the mouse button still being held, drag your mouse across the text. You will see the text being highlighted as you pass over it. When you get to the end of the text you want to copy, release the mouse button. Hope this has worked!! Nanna-Moo ;-)) |

I couldnt get the hang of copy and paste for years, despite people telling me how to do it. In the end I googled it and found a brilliant site, which tells you how to do it in five easy steps - essential for numpties like me. What I had not realised till then was that right-clicking 'captures' the information into your mouse, where it remains till you release it. Any left clicking you do in the meantime doesnt affect the info.held in the mouse. I could never work out where the information went while you were trying to transfer it and assumed I had lost it, pmsl. OC |

For idiots like me Steve, you should point out that you hold down the LEFT button while running your mouse over the script to be copied.I was trying for ages with the right button pressed, and was then told by my son that it was the left one to copy and the right one to get the paste sign up. Thanks for rectifying that Steve, only there may have been someone out there as thick as me. Mwaah !! |

Cut & Paste: Have you ever had to copy a really big letter or paragraph by typing from one file to another? Or from a web page to an email? If so, you know it can be a very tedious job. Let your mouse relieve your keyboard fingers for a minute. You can do what is called 'Cut & Paste' or Copy & Paste'. (Just like that) How do you think I do my quizzes :-)) Dee x |
