Think it would be hard as there are too many cliques on here, those who like or don't like each other and some who keep dragging up old scores. Colin I should think would be far too busy to be a moderator here as he does have his own genealogy website, free to all, to take care of and yes it does have moderators to help run it so never any trouble. That's a pity Gwynne because I'd vote for Gwynne too! Maybe it's because I agree with everything she says lol She also seems very fair and impartial, probably because of her profession.

I've only just caught up with this. Thanks, Heather, for mentioning my name. I do try hard to be fair. I'm a mod on FTF and it isn't that difficult there because everyone has 'good will'. Sometimes some members think we overmoderate but that's life, I guess. We do have very firm guidelines so the rules are easy to enforce. We have a system of yellow and red cards and can also suspend a member for a few hours or a few days to allow for a cooling off period, in addition to total deletion powers. Every thread has a 'report this thread button' and when the button is pressed we have a discussion in Mods' corner about what to do. Sometimes we delete, sometimes we edit and sometimes we just watch the thread. To contribute to the site everyone has to give a valid email address and IPs are logged and visible. GR don't have any of these so, even if I was asked, I would not want to be a mod here. I'm sure there are a lot of people who wouldn't want me either. That's not to say I don't think we should have mods here. I think they are essential if the board is to survive. Gwynne

oooooooo Its a tough one as I have said these past couple of days folks that I thought were genuine have really suprised me, And now I dont know about anyone anymore so I will talk to each and everyone as I have never had a falling out with anybody on here And until folks may upset me everbody will be my friend So therefore dont know of anybody except Gwynne and maybe a couple of others that would be a good moderator Linda
