Dear All

Hello

Hope you are okay.


It is hard to believe that is 15 years ago this day when Prince William of Wales

married Miss Kate Middleton in Westminster Abbey.

It was on a Friday and the bank holiday was on Monday, May Day.

So a long weekend too.

The weather was pretty non-descript.

What are your memories of this day?

We went over to my daughter's house just a few miles from here. We had bought a selection of fancy 'themed' foods, savoury and sweet and ate them together while watching the TV coverage.
I think she might have hung patriotic coloured bunting in her window for the day.

I think Westminster Abbey was decorated with young trees, which was unusual.

We were interested to see the bridal gown and thought it was just right and suited her well.

Hello

Thank you very much for your reply.

I remember watching the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and

Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 on the little black and white television.

It was a treat to watch the highlights programme on TV with colour in December 1981.

The newspapers were in black and white print.

Well I attended the wedding all dressed up in my finery including a hat!!! :-D
It was a lovely wedding. They are such a lovely couple <3
