Last Christmas OH bought me a chameleon for a present.

It was a cute little thing and did what chameleons are supposed to do: I put it on some red paper and it turned a shade of red. A bit later, I put it on something blue and again it took on a definite bluish tinge.

As the day progressed, and the wine flowed, I thought that it would be a fun thing to see what happened if I put the chameleon on a tartan picnic rug

Well, the poor thing didn't know what colour to turn. steam started to escape from various orifices and its body really started to swell.

We took him to the vets and after a couple of hours we were able to take the chameleon home

The vet gave us some blue pills to help with the chameleon's on-going treatment.

I asked the vet what the problem was and he said that it was the worst case of a reptile dysfunction he had ever seen
