....to the New Year.

First it was the worry with the bush fires, which have now thankfully receded, and then yesterday the motor for our automatic garage door packed up!

Contacted the local service company and a technician arrived just before lunch. He fitted the new motor within the hour and I was $750.00 lighter. :-0

At least it was fixed very quickly if thats any consolation!

It sure was, Florence, for which I am extremely grateful. The garage door, being for a double garage, is very heavy to open manually.

As you say not a god start, let us hope that is all the bad stuff for this year. How old was the motor?

I thought that the Garage door was installed when the house was built (2005) but I found the paperwork in a file left for us by the previous owner which showed that it was fitted in 2010. So 15-16 years old

We purchased the house in 2022.
