I have, Belle. Danced this morning then sorted out the pages of lyrics for the singing group.. some words went onto a second page but not necessarily the right page!

Mine are now on the right page. It took me a couple of hours but will save me searching when we next meet.

Have you been out with Ralphie. <3

I see that Queen may be doing a hologram tour like Abba :-S :-S

I may be missing the point, but why would you go and see holograms? :-0

JoyLouise

Give us a crisp, Island. :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2025 19:29

Do you meet weekly or monthly Joy :-)

Yes Ralphie took me out early this morning ;-) :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 24 Nov 2025 19:29

I agree, Maddie. The mind boggles :-S

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2025 19:30

I think the holograms are them when they were younger...my Niece has been to see the Abba show and said it is very realistic :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 24 Nov 2025 19:31

I guess I have been very lucky to see a lot of tours and solo singers, but they were real people.

Mind you a few of them have died since :-(

Dance weekly (Mondays) occasionally/rarely, twice a week ) and sing fortnightly on Fridays.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 24 Nov 2025 19:32

Yes it is them in their heyday Belle. But I dunno just seems a bit strange. No cheap either I understand :-0

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2025 19:33

I've been listening to Bohemian Rhapsody on YouTube .....it really is very good....to think the Record Company didn't want them to make it ....too long and not a normal pop record :-0 :-0

I did when I was younger, Maddie.

The Beatles, Swinging Blue Jeans, Adam Faith etc. gene Pitney sand part of his show without a Mike and he could be heard clearly - what a strong voice. He died suddenly - was it in Wales?

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2025 19:36

I suppose it is the next best thing if you like their music....a lot of the younger people never had the opportunity to see them. Abba certainly have a following...I remember going to see Mama Mia in the West End and people were singing along and dancing in the aisles :-D :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 24 Nov 2025 19:36

I saw practically all the 60's groups, and of course the Motown stars too.

Gene Pitney died in a hotel room, cant remember where though :-(

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2025 19:38

Certainly keeps you busy Joy ;-) :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 24 Nov 2025 19:38

Showing my age here. When my pals and I went to see ‘Rock around the clock’ we were dancing in the aisles. :-D

We are trying to decide which Panto to go and see. We have not been to one since we took the kids.

The sprogs got called up on the stage with Peter Duncan cos they were the little horrors shouting 'Its behind you' all the time :-D :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2025 19:41

I'm surprised Sir Paul hasn't put on a hologram show of The Beatles ....it certainly would be a hit :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 24 Nov 2025 19:42

Not been to a panto for years, Maddie, since we took the grandchildren and the youngest is now 18. <3
