It's been dry but cool most of the day.

We have already had three lots of kids at the door. All dressed up and polite enough but I wish they wouldn't come in such large groups. There's usually more than half a dozen at a time :-0

I think it will be a busy night getting up and down to the door.

round here you put hallowe'en deccies out the front if you welcome door knockers, otherwise they stay away.
Major eye roll from me when I see 'my 3 year old pestering to go trick or treating'.

Makes me wonder who's in charge in those families :-(

Youngsters around here are generally quite good and in previous years only tend to knock on the doors of houses, which have Halloween displays of any sort.

I'm with you Gwyn, I too don't encourage Trick or Treaters. Some years back we used to have young teenagers come knocking and they were quite intimidating :-(

The last few years we haven't had any children knocking which is great, if there are any this evening I just won't open the door :-0

Must admit, we don't encourage Trick or Treat visitors usually, but our lovely neighbour's young grandson is keen to get involved this year, so I have bought some mini chocolate bars and a small bag of sweets in readiness.
His mum will message daughter when they leave their house, so we'll know it's them ;-)
