I agree AnnG about Dianne, I thought exactly the same when she fronted the Pro Dance on Saturday :-0

It was also good to see Amy standing in the background for Claudia's sections on Saturday <3

AnninGlos Report 24 Nov 2025 14:38

Yes, she is so determined isn't she, I hope she doesn't overdo it.

MotownGal Report 30 Nov 2025 07:58

Oh Lor, I dont quite know about last night. It was if the contestants were so flustered by Blackpool they lost their bearings :-0

I dont think any of them danced to their full capacity. However I did like Karen with her Couples Choice. She blew the house down :-)

As for the mash up with the envelopes and ad hoc dances, I cant think it went that well either.

As for who will be in the dance off, it is anyones call. :-S

I thought, as an entertainment programme for a Saturday night, it was good. I actually enjoyed it. I wonder if they had had so much rehearsing and dancing on the Blackpool dance floor that they found it difficult to adjust. And the rapid choice and no practice of the new 'event' did show up those who had learnt some of the correct steps etc.
I liked Karen's couples choice and both Lewis and Amber
Alex was a bit of a mess but listening to her afterwards I am sure it is just that her age and general health has caught up with her.

Still it was down to the public so we shall see.

LondonBelle Report 30 Nov 2025 08:45

I did feel sorry for Alex, it just wasn't her night :-(. As she said her 62 year old body is now finding it very difficult with the constant training regime.....the spirit is willing but the body is weak :-(

My favourites of the night, in no particular order, were

Karen's Couples Choice - she has come on leaps and bounds especially over the last four weeks.....her dance was both fast, furious and foot perfect :-)

George's Quickstep - he is so honest, I didn't notice a mistake but he has to tell it as it was... He should keep it to himself in the hope The Judges blinked at that time ;-). I do like George, I think I might have mentioned it before ;-) :-D

I think it will be Alex and one of the best dancer's ie Lewis or Amber in the dance off, just to make it easy for the Judges ;-). I think Alex has enjoyed her Strictly experience but won't be too unhappy if she is voted off now :-)

As for the Instant Dance, I kept thinking of Instant Mash ;-), it was entertaining but some appeared to be better prepared for it than others :-0. I thought Balvinder was very good, in fact I think she liked the dance when she danced it in the competition proper.

It will interesting to see who the Public vote for :-0 ;-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 30 Nov 2025 09:07

Belle, yes, Belvinder did like that dance when she danced it before and when they opened the envelope you could see how pleased she was and she knew exactly what to choose to wear.

when I was saying the ones I liked I forgot to say George. Yes I liked his dance and, of course, I didn't notice a mistake. :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 30 Nov 2025 22:13

So Alex has gone. What a shame, but I think she may have been ready, she has cracked ribs and she said she was getting tired. She done well to get this far in this series, I believe she is the oldest dancer this year.

So Musicals next week. Lots of costumes, scenery and extra dancers.

Bring it on <3

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 30 Nov 2025 22:28

Yes Alex seemed quite content to be leaving and pleased that she has learnt to dance. She has done really well.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 1 Dec 2025 07:34

Sad to see Alex go but as I said yesterday I think she was ready to go :-(

I'm wondering whether Balvinder is one that has sneaked under the radar... she said that last week she had only had one day's full training due to her work schedule :-0. She has improved tremendously over the weeks and I believe is one of those that is a non-dancer...she certainly has had as many lives as a cat so far:-0

I like Musical Week....this should play into Amber's hands being from a musical day job but in saying that The Judges will be looking for technique not just show :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 1 Dec 2025 08:30

Yes I like musicals week as well. But depencing on the actual music chosen. 'Sit down you're rocking the boat could be interesting. Fast!!

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 7 Dec 2025 07:24

I do like Musical Week :-D. I thought they all danced extremely well and it will be sad to see a celeb go :-(

I love an Argentine Tango and I thought George danced it well especially as the music picked up towards the end when he was flinging his partner around left, right and centre :-0. Have I mentioned before, I like George ;-)

I was a little disappointed with Karen's Samba :-(. I think I was too distracted by the costumes :-0

I did like Balvinder's Viennese Waltz :-). I do love it when it is danced all twirling and flowing :-). I think this was most probably her best dance :-)

Amber's Charleston was fast and furious but I do think she has an advantage, being a musical actress, over the others :-0

I too don't think this Salsa was Lewis's best dance. I love any of the music of West Side Story and was looking forward to this dance but it disappointed :-(. I think he was trying too hard, has he peaked too soon :-0

My favourites on the night were George and Balvinder :-D. Who is going to be in the dance off :-S. I think it could be Karen and Lewis :-0. If that is the case, I would like to see Karen stay :-). I don't envy Motsi being the head Judge :-0

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 7 Dec 2025 07:57

Ooooh Belle got in before me and mostly said what I was going to say :-D :-D :-D

I thought that Balvindar looked glorious in that ballgown. she seemed to float over the floor.

George was very masterful in his Tango, great stuff.

I was a bit confused with Karens outfit, dont quite know what it was supposed to be :-S

Amber.............well she appears in musicals, so has an unfair advantage, so has Lewis, Still cant keep banging on about that week after week.

Who do go? No idea :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Dec 2025 10:09

Another good night. Really liked George's Argentine Tango
And Belvinders Viennise waltz I don't thik she realises how good she is. If she goes out this time which she possibly could, she has to know that she has really excelled herself.

I thought Amber didn't do herself any favours by going on beforehand about her sister in musicals and how it has rubbed off on here. Yes she was good and deserved the marks but somehow to me she was just too good.

Karen's dance I found confusing, not as good as her previous dances and yes, it may have been the costume.

I like Lewis but he was disappointing last night. Although, of course three of them had the same scores. that just mean the public vote is even more difficult to anticipate.

I sort of feel that Lewis and Balvinder will be in the dane off. Although it could be Karen and Balvinder :-S

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 7 Dec 2025 10:19

I don't know why but I just can't warm to Amber :-0

I think Balvinder has done really well and comes back even stronger after her set backs being in the dance offs :-0. One mustn't forget too that she has a day job and has to fit her training in around that :-0. I think that because of this it makes last night's Viennese Waltz even more impressive :-). Another reason why I'd like to see her go through to the semis :-). Along with George ;-)

JustGinnie

JustGinnie Report 7 Dec 2025 11:20

I feel the same about Amber in that I just can't take to her, I feel the same about Karen as well although both of them are good.

Loved the dances from George and Balviner and would love them both to go through.

Lewis was definitely not up to his usual standard but still got good marks though.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 7 Dec 2025 11:37

So not just me that cannot warm to Amber :-0

The dramatics when she get a perfect score is becoming wearing too :-(

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 8 Dec 2025 07:20

Well, I didn't see that dance off coming :-0

I have to say I did feel sorry for Lewis :-(. Out of the two I would have preferred him to have stayed but I think the writing was on the wall when he was pitched against Amber :-0. Amber's dance was by far the better dance of the night and whoever was pitched against her would always have come second :-(

I was so pleased for Balvinder, Karen and George though, as I think they are what this competition should be about :-)

I can see Amber going through to the Final....as The Judges will always pick her if she is in another dance off unless she completely messes the dance up :-(. However, I don't think the public would pick her in the Final so there is still a chance for a 'non-dancer' :-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 8 Dec 2025 07:48

I have to say I was not surprised with the dance off. Perhaps the public are tiring of the pro dancers in the competition. I too would have liked Lewis to stay, but Amber seems to be a favourite of the judges.

Loved the Chicago routine, it is one of my fave shows. They went full Hot Gossip with the stockings and susupenders. :-D :-D

However, for all the saucy outfits they santized the lyrics of the song. I have the CD and DVD and know all the words. ;-) However it is a family show, and maybe some were a bit strong for family viewing. :-0

Roll on next week when it hots up again :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 8 Dec 2025 08:57

As soon as it was Lewis and Amber in the dance off the result was predictable. Unfortunately Amber had the best dance to show off her skills (I have just read (and don't know how true it is) that she danced that in a recent show she was in. Lewis suffered from a messily coreographed dance with too many other dancers and a costume that meant he could not be picked out, plus a song that is not one of the most recognizable to people who are not familiar to the show. I will miss seeing him in the semi final. He looked very tired, obviously disappointed as did Katya who didn't do the coreography for that dance. I don't think the judges had any choice with their decision.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 8 Dec 2025 09:56

I too have just read that Amber has just finished appearing in The Great Gatsby where she did the Charleston every night :-0 :-0

I think there is a bit of an uproar, unsurprisingly, especially on social media about this:-0
