Dear me..glad you had good treatment at hospital.think it is sometimes the aftercare where a lot fall down with delayed appointments.
Take care...I remember my dad having the top of his finger off in a machine at work..he was a wood cutting machinist and in those days took quite a long time to heal,sure these days with the medication will be much quicker.still it's traumatic at best...and do wish you well.

I am sorry to read this and hope you will make a good recovery and get lots of support from your company.

Treat yourself gently at this time, trauma can cause different reactions in different people and you must ask for help if you need it.

I had an accident at work two weeks ago today, my hand was pulled into a machine & I've lost two fingers, i was rushed to Stoke Mandeville hospital in bucks, cannot praise the care & attention i received enough in my four day stay.

Outpatient waiting time is a different story though.
