Actually if one used one of the electric ones, it could save having to turn the oven on. Enough voltage and hey ho instant snack.
Not only that, but we could save the world energy crisis at the same time.
No need for cookers any more.
Oh and while I am about it, the little wifey wouldn't have to cook either.
And by playing the swatting game we solve world obesity with all the exercise.

I have devised a new game, which I intend to name 'Budgie Tennis'

The idea came to me after seeing the budgie we acquired a couple of weeks ago flying around my OH's sewing room. She has been training it to sit (I think that I've got the correct word) on her finger, and finally let it out of it's cage.

It's a fast little thing and when I saw an old tennis racquet on the floor and I had one of life's defining moments. Why not try to hit the budgie in full flight with the racquet and see what the results are?

This may, at first sight appear cruel, but by cutting some of the strings I have made a budgie sized hole. This gives the little chap a chance of survival.

I reckon that with the right force, and angle of strike, I could end up with neatly sliced budgie, which also sorts out the problem of what we are having for dinner.

Given the abundance of these bird world wide, I reckon I'm on to a winner :-D :-D
