Hayley,

You're uneducated and your grammar is crud. :-P

Signed,

A Friend

PS. Can't argue with a word you've said. I'm waiting until August when I'm supposed to renew to "consider my future".

Love it Hayley and by the way the weather here in
Aberdeen is cloudy, wet but clammy :-D
Speaking of shoes my gran daughters always show
me their new shoes cause they know in my day the
higher the better and though cannot wear a heel now
I still sigh over them.
Yesterday morning my oldest gran daughter showed me
a pair she has bought for a night out on Saturday, highest
wedge heel I've seen and in orange, love them I do :-D

Emma :-)

What a brilliant post Hayley :-)

GR was also my first dip into the internet pool, that led me to some wonderful sites and many really odd ones too, but it holds many really good memories for me as well.

I pop in and out as I hope to find something of interest, but increasingly find less and less.

I rack my brains to think of a thread to put up that won't descend into he said she said, but can't be bothered to sit watching it ready to delete if it gets silly :-(

I deleted my account once before and felt instantly better for it, but am struggling to find a reason to justify the cost of renewing next time around *sighs*

On the plus side, it is good to touch base with you and others who will always have a place in my heart <3

*sneezes and blows nose in an attempt to get rid of my lady flu*

xx

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 21 Jun 2013 09:56

Is what GR is to me. The excitement of being able to purchase and walk with out falling over in my brand new cost a week’s wages pair of high heeled shoes. GR was my stepping-stone to the wonderful weird world of the Internet and forums. Over the years I couldn’t bare the thought of parting with my lovely shoes one glance would stir up great memories of the first time I slipped on them precious shoes and declared in a grown up voice “ I’ll take em” walking home or rather totting home feeling 10 feet high, with my ankles cracking and blisters forming on the soles of my tired feet, did I care? Not a jot. Even excitedly showing them to my Mum and trying to run as I explained these were the reason I couldn’t produce my most needed £10.00 board money. Over the years I just couldn’t bare to throw them away till the smell became too much.
As I often would glance at my beloved shoes and sigh, this is how I view GR most days, a quick glance and I put it away back in its box but still I can not stand to click on the delete account button. I will still glance at a thread and sigh as I will know the poster who rarely posts anything positive, will be telling us the next not so enthralling drama unfolding in their dysfunctional family lives. Or the outrage and insults because someone has dared to report a joke. I will try and be interested in the fact someone has visited the market to do their weekly big shop and had to rush back home to post a thread on GR to inform us they witnessed a pigeon stealing a pork pie out of an unsuspecting mans hands, knowing that what will follow will be a long thread about the cost of the said pork pie and how the government is at fault for not being able to control pigeons or the price of pork pies, resulting that it’s the fault of immigration and this is why capital punishment should be reintroduced.
I will smile as I see that Menopausal Mary * name has been changed * has resurfaced and by the tone of her post is angrier as ever and obviously waiting for the next delivery of her long overdue prescription of her hormone patches. Or scoff as I watch Nutty Nancy * name has been changed * who has today at least had the decency to wait till an hour before posting to ensure her prozac has kicked in, before she buzzes around threads making random off the cuff remarks and not even bothering to reply to post addressed to her, just posting very thinly veiled threads in her way of response. I do wish for an eye rolled emotioncom as I think Oh purlease most of us are not novices we know an insult when we read one.
I will skip past the weather threads and updates on news items that I have just read on the BBC news page. I will not even bother to open the riveting thread that informs me of what the poster has just eaten for lunch. I will roar laughing as I stand accused of being uneducated or that my grammar is crud, I hold on to my ribs as I close down the page and set about my life in the real world.
Until I look in again and sigh and remember past times with GR and my shoes. I will look at the delete account button and think twice. Clap clap. ;-)
