yeah possibly..i have a little girl the same age as Madeleine.

YES she could've opened a patio door and walked and wandered.

YES she was a total pain in the bum with her hyper activities

BUT even once apparently down for the night...........i'd never have trusted that she was *out of it* because she is and was a real sharp cookie........as I believe most girls that age are............

This makes me feel odd.
We were having an extended family holiday in a villa - if we 'went' drinking, it was just outside the villa - the patio - with child alarms on.
When one of the (very young) grandchildren started behaving 'inappropriately' - we were concerned about allowing them the freedom of their own body without embarrassing anyone/influencing the other children.

Discussions ensued - but not one of us thought their behaviour 'sexy'.
We were more concerned about allowing them the freedom to explore their own body - but in privacy - but also not making them feel bad or 'dirty'. It's their body - they can do what they want with it - but there's a time & place......

As doctors, one would assume the McCanns would realise this - and object to a 'friend' sexualising a young childs exploration of their own being ....... or perhaps not.....

Isn't that why we are self confessed obsessives?

OMG - the Gaspar statement - that's awful!!!

All little children are discovering their bodies - it's not a time/an excuse to sexualise them, though Yuckkkk

lolol Maggie, sorry to disappoint you that came within the realms of 'responsible parenting' according to the McCanns.

What's the first thing you do when you find your child is missing? Contact the media, well make sure you destroy the crime scene first.

Then sign a 'pact of silence' with your buddies and refuse to answer questions posed by the investigating police.

Pursuade Gordon Brown to stamp his feet and OMG get the pink shirted one to divert the press questions and impose a media blackout.

'Awareness Campaign?' - here's a hint - don't leave your children alone while you p*ss it up!

Muffyxx Report 30 Oct 2012 00:04

You don't have to be pay to appear on TV..in fact invariably it's the other way around

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 30 Oct 2012 00:02

What is the money being spent on ?

The majority of the fund money has been and continues to be spent on investigative work to help find Madeleine. Additionally money continues to be spent on the wider 'Awareness Campaign' – reminding people that Madeleine is still missing and to remain vigilant. None of the directors have taken any money from the fund as remuneration.

Muffyxx Report 29 Oct 2012 23:58

Fund Objectives

The full objects of the Fund are:

Aims of the fund ..............
To procure that Madeleine's abduction is thoroughly investigated and that her abductors, as well as those who played or play any part in assisting them, are identified and brought to justice; and

To provide support, including financial assistance, to Madeleine's family.

I'd like to know the current balance?

However, as the mission statement declared that it was also to benefit GM and KM I doubt there's much left. I cannot see the libel damages they received being credited to that!

However, I am a well known cynic after investigating a) the speed that fund was set up b) their mortgage payments coming from it c) the declaration that anything left over would help find other missing children ONCE their objective had been achieved.Plus most significantly names of the trustees who didn't question the hiring of the *cough* investigators who continually manufactured 'sightings' which even the McCanns didn't even fly out to check.

Utter waste of good hearted peoples' contributions. The corporations that contributed only answer to their share holders. Poor Joe Public just gave in good faith and got 'stiffed'

I expect this will get RRd

If S Yard are now on the case..which they are.....they don't need PI's so it stands to reason they don't need the fund surely Kay? They'll follow any supposed leads?

Maggie..I'm with you...I suspect libel claims cost a heck of a lot.......has to come from somewhere.......
