Looks like I will be cosying up to him and Idi Amin for all of eternity!

The old man had better get up early tomorrow. He still has the washing and washing up to do before he goes out.

A stroke victims work is never done!

Might let him have the morning off for his ninety-third next month!

SueMaid Report 24 Oct 2012 22:52

Don't spoil him too much Sharron - he may get used to it.

Sharron

Sharron Report 24 Oct 2012 22:57

Not the whole morning!

72 Ronald? You're just a youngster compared with Sharron's dad. Sounds like you've got yourself sorted though and will live to Sharron's dad's ripe old age.

You need a bossy woman though, or good friend, (failing that, the cat) to kick you up the 'you know what' now and again - it's a pre-requisite for a good life expectancy.

Goes off to kick 'im indoors' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Sent home to die because he was making no progress five and a half years ago. He has not had time yet!

Oh,he was a poor old man before I put the boot in.

Partner has just been downstairs to make a cup of tea. The old man thought it was time to get up.

He wouldn't be excited about going to town tomorrow now would he?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Oct 2012 23:14

He has plans Sharron - of course he's excited.

He's already done that one.

It's the call of the pub I expect.

Considering he can hardly see at the moment,he was travelling down the hoeptal corridors like Sterling Moss yesterday.

Never rains but it pours.

Internet went off this morning.OH blasted BT about dodgy hub, negotiated contract, demanded new hub, internet came back on.

Carers came for the purposes of attending to old mans bowels.Hoist, which was supposed to be serviced yesterday but the engineer has yet to arrive, would not work. That was what was affecting power supply.

Old mans bowels unattended to but he says he can hold on and has gone off to town leaving me awaiting either repair engineer or the service engineer from yesterday (different companies).

Engineer will arrive sometime before eight tonight when I must call our carers to come and sort the old man out.

Meanwhile,he glides off to his various social events without a care in the world!

He went and got his prescription, had his steak and kidney pie with chips, didn't like his beer, bought me some eggs in M&S. saw a friend in Superdrug, bought some talc in Poundland and popped into Iceland.

I spent my couple of hours respite trying to book patient transport for his cataract operation, trying to re-set the fax machine .after the balls up with the electricity, booking his blood test. letting in the two seperate engineers who had been booked to do the same job on the hoist, finding a bit of gaffer tape and a 5amp fuse for one of them, sorting out the carers for the evening and for when he goes to hospital and getting some washing together for him to do in the morning.
