Could they be garden spiders coming in from the cold to overwinter? I spotted a beaut in our house last night and told him he can stay. Organic fly control, lol

House spiders, usually come out at night, we have a huge one that lives under the gas fire

big spiders come from? they are MASSIVE, I have just seen one on the kitchen floor, even Kaite the cat backed away.
