I am pleased that it has been confirmed Ann C I agree that some stories can be a bit far fetched, and I would never pass them on. However, this one touched my heart, it was messaged to me last week by a good friend whom I trust. She also had it verified by a nurse from the hospital, so I felt comfortable that is was genuine.

Thanks Ann, we are so suspicious of these things these days. Facebook/Twitter etc have a lot to answer for. I am so pleased it is a true story.

If it's true.......buddy well done <3

AnnCardiff Report 25 Oct 2012 15:52

to be honest Sylvia I donlt think they would have printed it had it not been true - if it isn't true I'm sure people from the University Hospital will let it be known

Well I am sure the paper could have added that the people involved did NOT want to be named . , like I said that is if they even bothered to get it verified , quite frankly any of that stuff that does the rounds on Facebook is best taken with a pinch of salt .

Meybe the students concerned did,nt want any publicity. not everyone expects praise for things they do spotaniously, or reward.**M**.

aivlyS Report 25 Oct 2012 14:42

Well if they verified it they should of given the names of the students ... be interesting to know if they did actually bother to check it out .

Well done both. It was doing the rounds on FB.

I assume the editors have verified it or else they wouldn't publish.

I have just read Ann's letter in the Echo.
It was lovely to hear of such a good deed being done, after the tragic events here in Cardiff on Friday afternoon.
Thank you Paula for putting this thread up
