sounds like my BBQ Allan, thought i had enough food to feed a small country, but forgot that half of the family are big six ft welsh men and the rest are scousers, the welsh ate and the scousers drank, nothing left by 10pm,but we had a great time. :-D

lol Suzanne.

OH's choir is having a sausage sizzle this morning (conventional sausages, nothing small and furry). The store that helps out by providing the venue, barbeques, gas etc stipulate that you must have enough sausages and buns to last between 9.00am and 4.00pm. If you run out of things before the end time you have to source more.

We currently have 400 sausages in our spare fridge with another 500 at the butchers which i have to collect before he closes at 12.00 pm. And there's just short of 900 presliced buns in another shop.

OH and I went to collect the ready sliced onions yesterday, all 30 kgs of them......from the local prison!!

oh how i wish you had sent a couple of big fat wombats over Allan, brother ran out of burgers half way though BBQ.,we had lots of other tasty food but nothing to compare to juicy wombats.yummy. :-D

Allan Report 7 Aug 2012 23:01

I'm pleased that all went well, Suzanne. At least with all your stressing, and rampant imagination of various diaster scenarios, reality would never match up to the possibilities.

You should have let me know about the lack of small furry animals. I could have arranged for a couple of wombats to be flown over :-D

oh what a lovely day we had, weather was the best we have had for months, baby granddaughter screamed all though the service, toddler grandson ran up and down shouting "wheres my bag i want my dummy" people were laughing so much we couldnt hear the service,

on the downside a 3 year old had a bad convulsion before the reception,it lasted 20mins and even caused my some stress(im a nurse) shes fine now.
my sister kicked off at the evening reception and made a show of herself.
the next day we had a big bbq for 50 family and friends, weather was so hot we had to bring the young children in doors.brother cooked all the food(we didnt cook one small furry animal Allan,i was tempted but couldnt find anything with enough meat on it to feed us all except for the dog,but would have been arrested by the R.S.P.C.A,SO DIDNT BBQ HIM BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY. It was a good weekend, dont know why i worried.x :-D :-D :-D
