.... who is under a lot of stress with the forthcoming Wedding.

However, my OH is also under a lot of stress, and pain!

15 months ago she had an operation on her knee and was told that if the same problen recurred then a total knee reconstruction would be required.

Sunday morning, I heard a faint shout coming from upstairs. Her knee had gone again!! Couldn't bend her knee and it took her ages to get downstairs.

She's off to the Doctors early this morning, but meanwhile she is moaning......

"Ma Knee is the root of all evil"

:-D :-D

( the above is fact, except for the moaning part. OH only moans when I pull her leg ;-))

Update

OH saw the Dr. He showed her the surgeon's notes and said "Basically the cartilage is extensively damaged due to arthritis'" OH said "I know, that is why I had the operation in the first place!"

Dr then asked OH whether she was still taking her painkillers

OH said yes

Dr said well be careful because they may react with your medication for high blood pressure.

OH...I'm not on any medication for HBP.

Dr OH!

OH I am on medication for high cholesterol.

Dr: How's your husband's bad....

OH. My husband doesn't have a bad....

Dr; Your husband is Allan?

Then the light dawned as my wife asked "Do you mean the speedway driver?"

Dr :That's him

OH: not my husband

The Dr then looked a bit perplexed and asked are there two Allans with the same surname.

OH; no, there are several but some of their surnames are spelt a bit differently.

Dr, rather quickly, "Well keep taking the pain killers and we'll keep an eye on the knee."

Not only did we have a good laugh we've also found out the medical conditions of two strangers.

Although the other Allan is not quite a stranger as I used to receive phone calls for the other Allan from various vehicle dealers

Suzanne Report 7 Aug 2012 22:17

oh what a lovely day we had, weather was the best we have had for months, baby granddaughter screamed all though the service, toddler grandson ran up and down shouting "wheres my bag i want my dummy" people were laughing so much we couldnt hear the service,

on the downside a 3 year old had a bad convulsion before the reception,it lasted 20mins and even caused my some stress(im a nurse) shes fine now.
my sister kicked off at the evening reception and made a show of herself.
the next day we had a big bbq for 50 family and friends, weather was so hot we had to bring the young children in doors.brother cooked all the food(we didnt cook one small furry animal Allan,i was tempted but couldnt find anything with enough meat on it to feed us all except for the dog,but would have been arrested by the R.S.P.C.A,SO DIDNT BBQ HIM BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY. It was a good weekend, dont know why i worried.x :-D :-D :-D

Allan Report 7 Aug 2012 23:01

I'm pleased that all went well, Suzanne. At least with all your stressing, and rampant imagination of various diaster scenarios, reality would never match up to the possibilities.

You should have let me know about the lack of small furry animals. I could have arranged for a couple of wombats to be flown over :-D
