JoyBoroAngel Report 25 Jul 2012 23:40

she did make me wear a blind fold to taste it
do you realise how hard it is to find the toilet quick
whilst taking a blind fold off

i wouldn't even give that to my worst enemy to eat

so you didn't delicately move it to the side of the plate whilst commenting "I have had an elegant sufficiency" then

I think this is a terrible thread. After reading it I was trying to decide what my favourite food was, the trouble being that there are so many things I like. I went to the kitchen and broke open a packet of cheese bread. It is like crispy toast with cheese flavouring (small pieces). I bet I will have finished the packet before dinner. So much for trying to lose weight.

lol Huia

I was good compared to you! :-D

I kept thinking about the bacon in the freezer.......... but I resisted temptation and had another yoghurt :-D then a banana :-D

I feel like my stomach is stuck to my spine :-)

I'm being good so that I can fit into last year's shorts this summer.

I should have gone into hibernation over winter..... got a layer of fat that would have kept me going for a couple of months at least :-0

Huia

Huia Report 26 Jul 2012 07:42

How can you be thinking about shorts when it is so cold at present?

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 26 Jul 2012 08:40

I missed bacon for years but Quorn rashers are an adequate substitite

. It does make a pretty acceptable egg and rasher pie which is a bit good with a drop of tomato ketchup.

After thirty odd years I still miss liver for wich there is no substitute.

On the subject of Pot Noodles, I always put a few sultanas in when I tip the water on to the curry ones.

What about a nice home made Pannini then?,a nice shop brought Tomato ,and herb Pannini .sliced in half ,spread well with green pesto,a layer of semi crisp bacon,a layer of Leerdammer cheese.thin sliced onion rings ,layer of wiltshire carvery ham ,,another layer of cheese ,topped off with more crispy bacon, stick the two halves of bread together ,and bang into the Pannini press for 5 minutes, total mean on a tea plate .
By the way Muffy ,you never heard of Kosher Bacon? lol.Fred. :-)

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 26 Jul 2012 09:23

Muffyxx Report 26 Jul 2012 09:25

lol Fred....I'm not Jewish so have never shopped kosher........

My OH used to work in a golf club which had a lot of Jewish (was going to say members but it made me giggle)..er....golfers...and they used to sneak into the kitchens on a saturday morning paying over the odds for the cooks to make them a bacon sandwich on the quiet lol x

Huia ~ it doesn't get really cold where we live.

Middle of winter, today was 18C

Doesn't get real hot in summer either, but the humidity can be awful :-D

By "real hot" I mean in the 40s!

Can't wait to get back into sarongs & sandals :-D

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 26 Jul 2012 11:58

I woke up determined to have my bacon sandwich...........but when I looked in the fridge.........the 3 rashers I had in there had GONE. The dirty frying pan on the hob points to OH having eaten it after his night shift.

*sobs*

The poached egg on toast were nice...but I'm not happy lol x
