At least they all sang the national anthem at the start. Its the first time ever that rooney has sung it. he usually just stands there with his mouth firmly shut.The first game he played he was just moving his lips but last night you could see he ACTUALLY knew the words!!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It would be interesting to see how well they play if they were on performance related pay.

Listen, I dont know much about football, but if any of you think that you could do better, then go and get picked for a team........if you think you are capable of running up and down a pitch for 90 minutes( or even less) then offer your services.........unfortunately it seems that no matter what players are selected to play for our national team, more often than not, they are outclassed........its nothing to do with money........

I didnt think they got paid for playing for their country I thought they were selected and capped but I may be wrong ........I personally blame the media for all their hype I dont think that many people got excited this time we are used to a showing up, they did play better than they did in the last world cup.. Rooney looked knackedand again the media inflict too much pressure on him, he didnt have a good game last night I wouldnt of started him, I would of kept wtih Andy Carroll, he is a work horse and a grafter but didnt seem to get in too the game last night, I think John Terry did well all matches Gerrard looks past it with Rooney, I say bring some of the young blood from the lower division teams give them a chance instead of going for the premiership players big names.
