I can't even remember what 'the peak of the transit' is :-(

We get sunrise here about 20 minutes after you, so if I could be bothered I'd be the last to see it;-)

Will look forward to seeing your pics, you have taken some stunning ones (which I did suggest years ago you could make a business from)..........











and I only want 10% :-D

Is anyone else getting up for sunrise on Wednesday morning to see the planet Venus transit across the face of the sun? I shall be there, weather permitting, to photograph the event for posterity. Not a good forecast, though. I'll post the photos if it is clear enough to actually see the sun.

I wonder what the astrologers will make of this, with the awesome combined gravitational effect of venus aligned with the sun? Scary to think of the effect it will have on anyone unlucky enough to be born at the peak of the transit.
